| 砂板乒乓球属于乒乓球运动的衍生品，是一种较为原始的乒乓球打法。它速度慢、旋转弱、回合多，因而上手快、趣味性强，深受广大乒乓球爱好者的喜爱。运用文献资料法、历史研究法、访谈法等研究方法，对砂板乒乓球兴起的过程与原因进行剖析。研究认为：砂板乒乓球的兴起是一个漫长的过程，马蒂·赖斯曼和竞赛空间体育推广公司在其中发挥了重要作用；砂板乒乓球更好地适应了现代社会对“轻体育”的需要，符合竞技体育“软式化”发展趋势，满足了人们对乒乓球公平竞争的愿望，且具有独特的娱乐健身魅力；砂板乒乓球的兴起不仅弥补了现代乒乓球运动的不足，而且促进了乒乓球运动的多元化发展。 |

| Analysis of the Process and Causes of the Rise of Ping Pong |

| Abstract: |
| Ping Pong is a derivative of table tennis. It is a more primitive form of table tennis. Its slow speed, weak spin, and many rounds make it easy to get started and interesting, thus deeply loved by fans of table tennis. By methods of literature review, historical research, interview, the process and causes of the rise of Ping Pong are analyzed. It is concluded that the rise of Ping Pong is a long process. Matti Riceman and a sports promotion company named competition space have played an important role in it; Ping Pong has better adapted to the “unstressed sports” of modern society, which also meets the “softening” trend of competitive sports, and as well satisfies people’s desire for fair competition in table tennis, and thus obtains a unique charm of entertainment and fitness. The rise of Ping Pong not only makes up for the insufficiency of modern table tennis, but also promotes the diversified development of table tennis. |
